Melissa McCarthy and her Emmy

You’ve seen her on “Bridesmaid” this past summer, and now most likely you’ll DVR this prom queen on her CBS sitcom, “Mike and Molly.”

Melissa McCarthy snagged herself an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series last night at the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, which the actress treated as “one big pageant.”

Melissa told Access Hollywood backstage, “I feel like I’m going to wake up, and you know, it’s going to be like 4:30am and my daughter’s going to be like, Uh, can I have some milk?”

The popular comedic actress has quite the busy schedule ahead of her including hosting “Saturday Night Live” on October 1 and working on the sequel to one of the top movies of the summer, “Bridesmaid.”

We’re sure Melissa’s career is going to take off after her win last night and we’ll be seeing more of her in the headlines.  She’s fast becoming one of our favorite celebrity moms out there – we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for you, Melissa!

Check out our photos of the Emmy award winner from the press room last night.
