Sofia Vergara tops Emmys red carpet 2011 best dressed!
The 2011 Emmys fashion choices gave us plenty of best and worst dressed options for our annual list of the highs and lows of the Emmys red carpet.
The Emmy winners for red carpet fashion are included below, but unfortunately, they can’t all be winners! We’ve also included a roundup of those celeb moms whose 2011 Emmys looks missed the mark just a bit.

Worst: Julianna Margulies
Oh! Why? Julianna Margulies' space-age bustier on this white dress is just not doing it for us. The top of Julianna's Armani Prive gown looks like it’s a plastic snap-on outfit for a doll, doesn't it?

Worst: Julie Bowen
Julie Bowen’s choice of this beaded Oscar de la Renta silver dress with the plunging neckline is all wrong. Maybe it's because she's so skinny? That neckline shows off her bony frame a bit too much.

Worst: Amy Poehler
Poehler’s dress is the most beautiful color, but we think Amy went with a really safe choice. Too shiny. Too tight. Hate the sleeves. It's really got a wetsuit vibe going on!

Worst: Heidi Klum
Love that Heidi Klum is wearing Project Runway winner Christian Siriano’s design. Hate that Siriano included one hot mess of a ruffle on what could have been a stunning dress.

Worst: Eva LaRue
Eva’s bedazzled look here is a bit overkill. We adore celebs who practice "less is more,” so we would have loved to have seen a bit less glitz from Eva.

Worst: Gwyneth Paltrow
Oh no. Just. No. Gwyneth’s see through midriff look seems a bit odd for an awards show. Is she channeling “I Dream of Jeannie” or something? Plus, we can't get into the same old Gwyneth hair. Step it up, Gwyn!

Worst: Katie Holmes
Katie, we can sum it up in one word: “meh.” From the jewel toned blue to the teeny tiny belt, Holmes’ dress choice seemed to scream “safe.” We expect more from you, Katie.

Best: Connie Britton
Connie Britton stunned in red, with a strapless gown that included a high cut slit up the front. Connie’s hair, makeup and jewelry hit all the right marks too, as she kept everything natural and beautiful.

Best: Jane Lynch
Sue Sylvester has left the building! Jane Lynch wowed on the red carpet in a gorgeous purple gown. A bit traditional, yes, but a beautiful departure from track suits!

Best: Sofia Vergara
Sofia was our overall 2011 Emmys best-dressed favorite! From the color, to the fit, this gorgeous one shoulder Vera Wang (of course) hits Sofia in all the right places. Also? The earrings are too amazing.

Best: Padma Lakshmi
Whether she's eating a cheeseburger or shopping at Whole Foods, Padma Lakshmi always looks gorgeous. And her look at the Emmys was just beyond. Her shimmering bronze Armani Prive goddess-type dress with a scarf draped down the back was perfection!

Best: Maria Bello
Maria Bello rocks a one-shoulder gown with plenty of sparkle and what can only be described as a sunburst design. Total knock out.

Best: Kate Winslet
Kate Winslet may be wearing the color of the night, but she always stands out, even in a sea of red. Winslet never disappoints, this time in designer Elie Saab.

Best: Jane Krakowski
Jane Krakowski gets bonus points for her fabulous post-baby body in this J. Mendel Mica gown. We love the detailed little cluster at her hip!

You’re kidding, right? I think this gown is awful. The color of the gown makes her skin look sallow and sickly.
