Eric Roberts: Kate Gosselin is a Child Abuser, An Awful Mother

Kate Gosselin

Eric Roberts says Kate Gosselin is an "awful mother"

Kate Gosselin haters, you have a new pal, and it’s none other than Eric Roberts, older brother of Julia.

“I know she’s fading from the news, but hopefully someone’s still got their eye on the wellbeing[sic] of her kids. Kate Gosselin is a child abuser,” Roberts wrote on November 1 via Twitter. Over the weekend, he expanded on his opinion to the blog Small Town Gosselins. Here’s what he said in an interview:

“Thank goodness there is footage of Gosselin hitting her kids, and apparently feeling fine about it. I say thank goodness, because behind closed doors makes it that much tougher to stop,” Roberts explained.

“The number of kids Kate and Jon have are the reason Kate and John have money,” he said. “It would be awful if financial stress was added to those kids’ problems. But the money should be divided 10 ways.

“They have an awful mother, and a father who doesn’t stop her.”

His advice for Kate is this: “Get out of denial and receive anger management… Next time she feels herself lifting a hand to harm one of her children, she should instead make a call to her local 12-step program.” He also believes that Jon should make a legal contract that states that Kate is punished financially every time she hits on of the kids.

“She’s playing the role of good mom. When she stops playing the role as it’s written, she should be fired.”

MIght I point out a couple of things here? 1) This is a man who will appear on the upcoming season of Celebrity Rehab. 2) His own daughter began working at age 9. 3) I’m assuming if Kate is abusing the children social services would be involved.

I’m not a big Kate Gosselin fan, but will take this in the context that this is someone spewing about fellow parents when he has his own serious problems.
