Exclusive Clip: Classic Disney Influence on Oz The Great and Powerful

Oz-the-Great-and-Powerful-oz-the-great-and-powerful-33988086-1735-1301Do you know the name Robert Stromberg? If not, you will. He is the man responsible for the look of such gorgeous films as Avatar and Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, both of which he won Oscars for. He also is in the midst of working on his first big directorial debut as the visionary behind Disney’s upcoming blockbuster Maleficent (coming out in 2014). Yes, he has been busy. But between Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland and directing Angelina Jolie in Maleficent, Robert Stromberg made another miracle, he created the jaw dropping production design for Disney’s Oz The Great and Powerful.

The look of the film was completely stunning, and the sets were like another character starring alongside Oz, Gilda, and the Wicked Witch. For inspiration Robert Stromberg looked at classic Disney films such as Snow White, Bambi and Pinocchio.  We have an exclusive clip of the artistic genius talking about creating the look for Oz The Great and Powerful. Check it out here:
