Exclusive! Trista And Ryan Sutter Celebrate Blakesley's Fourth Mermaid Birthday Party! (Photos)

It’s hard to believe little Blakesley Sutter is already four years old!  Trista and Ryan Sutter’s little girl celebrated her birthday with mermaids and pirates mate!’

One of my favorite things to do it throw a party!  Trista came to me a few months ago asking if I would be able to help her out with Blakesley’s birthday and I was very excited to do so!

I knew I had to create the perfect Mermaid Birthday Party, so Trista and  I searched the web and found some amazing options.  Just follow along to find out how you too can make your own Mermaid Party!!

  • Inspiration / Invitation 1 of 24
    The Cutest Mermaid Invitation

An invitation can be the inspiration behind a party. Jill From Stamped Paper Co.  helped bring Trista and Blakesley's dreams come true with this customized invitation. Seriously I have never seen such a cute party invite!!

  • The Sonnenalp 2 of 24
    The Sonnenalp Vail

Finding the perfect party location in Vail is not the easiest since you need to worry about Snow in April! The Sonnenalp is a favorite location of Trista because the space is beautiful, the food is delish and they are amazing to work with! The staff goes out of their way to make it the best day! Plus... if you want a little get-away I love staying there. It is like you are in the Swiss-Alps ( which I have never been to but only dreamed about). Photo Source : Cara Leonard Photos

  • Pin The Starfish and Bag Toss Stations 3 of 24
Blakesley and Trista Sutter 4th birthday

Creating stations for your party can be lots of fun. We asked a friend of Trista's to help us make some fun stations for the party. Janet made the gorgeous handmade Bean Bag Toss. She used the invitation and painted it on a piece of wood! Chloes Couture created the adorable Pin the Starfish on the Treasure Chest. All of these are handmade and if you can't do it, look for a creative friend to help! Photo Source : Cara Leonard Photos

These fun treasure chests were so much fun for the kids to decorate. With sticker jewels and markers. The kids filled their treasure chests with treats from the pinata and the candy table!   These come out to about $1.50 per child. Photo Source : Cara Leonard Photos

  • Pom Poms and Table Decor 6 of 24
    Centerpieces, flowers and pompoms

I love, love, love the table covers and the Pom Poms.  At first I looked into renting linens and then realized I would rather invest in the perfect table covers that I could keep.  I purchased the fabric at Joannes Fabrics ( I found a 50% off coupon it helped with the price). I was able to make covers for all tables and the bows to cover the chairs.

I found the hanging pom poms at Paper White Designs. One little tip -  Make sure to do these the day before as they can be timely!  If you want to make these on your own you can easily buy some tissue paper - fold them like a fan- put a piece of jewlery wire down the center to fold it in half. Cut a design on the ends and the un-fold into a pom-pom. You can hang with any kind of thin string.
