Former Bachelor Winner Mary Delgado Arrested Again!

Mary Delgado and Byron Velvick seemed like such a happy and in love couple when they got engaged on Season 6 of The Bachelor. America fell in love with Mary when she was first cast on Bob Guiney’s season, and we all wanted to hit him over the head with a frying pan when he sent her home after meeting her family on her hometown date.

Everyone was thrilled when Mary reappeared at the Bachelor mansion to meet Byron Velvick…and we were ecstatic when Byron chose her to be his bride and got down on one knee and proposed. I for one, truly thought that a wedding and kids were in the immediate future for those two.

It seemed like Mary had finally found her prince charming…and then she had to go and screw everything up by punching Byron and getting herself arrested.

Byron seems like a pretty stand-up dude, so something really bad must have gone down for him to actually call the cops on his fiancee, don’t you think?

In 2008, a year after Mary’s first arrest, she wound up with her mug shot being taken again after being drunk in public at a bar in Texas. Two times in two years, huh?

The couple officially split in 2009, but Mary just can’t seem to escape her run-ins with the law.  She was arrested for a third time in Tampa on Thursday morning for a DUI. She was apparently released from jail on $500 bond.

Seriously, how does one go from being America’s sweetheart to being arrested three times in the course of a few years?  Was it her new found fame from The Bachelor that put Mary over the edge?  Or did she always have a wild streak?

Something tells me this may not be the last time we hear “Mary Delgado” and “arrested” in the same sentence.
