FOX News Correspondent Returns After Breast Cancer Battlekellidaisy
She beat triple negative breast cancer and now FOX News correspondent Jennifer Griffin is ready to get back to work! However she’s not content to go back to sit behind a desk, she’s off to Afganistan to interview General David Petraeus about the war!
It was while nursing her youngest child, Luke, in September 2009 that Griffin discovered the lump in her breast. Griffin also has 2 older daughters, and it was the severe nature of the disease that forced her to take leave from her job to focus on treatment. Jennifer got pretty emotional on her first broadcast back since leaving FOX News last year to battle the disease . In speaking to host Shepard Smith on ‘Studio B’ Griffin got choked up and stated that “I must say I’ve been on the verge of tears all day because I’ve had so many warm wishes from everyone there, and I must thank everyone. It’s very emotional for me to be back. Now you’re going to get me all teared up!”
Griffin did shed a few tears while speaking about her illness and road to recovery, but is happy to now report that she is cancer free. You can watch her emotional return to the airwaves here.
