With Glee season 2 kicking off tonight, let’s talk about casting this season – yesterday it was announced that Gwyneth Paltrow will guest star and today, Kristin Chenoweth confirmed that she’s returning to Glee.
Now, I’m not entirely excited about Gwyneth Paltrow on Glee. Not that she’s bad, necessarily, but I’m a little concerned about Glee maybe-kind-sorta overdoing it in the sparkly celebrity guest stars department.
Gwyneth Paltrow is rumored to be on board for two episodes of Glee airing in November. Paltrow, real life celeb mama of Apple of Moses, will play Mr. Schuester’s new love interest, with E! reporting: “Mr. Schuester gets sick, so Gwyneth’s character steps in and takes over the glee club. The kids love her, and Will starts to fall for her…complicating his relationship with Emma (Jayma Mays).”
And don’t forget Gwyneth can sing too! She plays a country singer in the upcoming movie, Country Strong, in theaters on December 22.
As for Kristin Chenoweth, she tells E! Online: “I’m going back in two weeks to do Glee. I did hear April will be stripping and it made me nervous – made me not want to eat. I’m not going to practice it because I don’t think April would know how!”
