It’s not because I’ve seen the film a slew of times. Its not because my 6-year-old daughter loves to dress in her Merida costume and run around the house shooting her little Brave archery set. It’s because I really got so much insight into the filmmakers, the process, and the production. From meeting with the team who created Merida’s fabulous hair at Pixar, to interviewing the voice talent, to going to the premiere of the film in Hollywood. With all the hours spent behind the scenes and watching the screen, it’s was impossible to not get immersed into world, the myth and the magic that is Brave.
And I’m not the only one who felt so strongly about this gorgeous animated feature. Brave won the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature on Sunday night. So what comes to mind now? Does this mean Brave is the lead for winning the Oscar?
What do you think? Will one of Disney’s other nominees — Wreck-It Ralph or Frankenweenie take home the Oscar?
Congrats to the Disney Pixar teams, the win was very well-deserved!
