Grammy Awards Worst Dressed: Style Inspiration from Popes to Proms?

Fergie in An Orange Tablecloth

You know what’s sad, there are far more bad dresses than good at this year’s Grammy Awards. The Grammy Awards is where singing stars, nominees and up-and-comers can bust out with interesting style statements. But this year many went either too far, trying too hard to make a “statement” and some looked like they were ready to go to their prom, beach party or to Goth night at their local bar.

Here are some of the worst fashion offenders. Are there any that you actually like and/or love? And which one do you think is the worst?

Yes, it may be Versace. BUT STILL. Dressing up as a pope with a pope? An odd choice, for sure.

Cyndi did not look like she was Queen of the 80's Superstars. Maybe Queen of the Goths?

The woman who is famous for dating famous people wore a dress that was so yellow, and so bright, that all of us almost went blind.

Yes, she may be feeling blue since her divorce from Russell Brand, but this hue just seemed awkward. She looked like a big blue serving of cotton candy, one that would hurt your teeth.

Yes, you're edgy. We get it. But that dress? You look like a robot covered in silly string.

The Russian born singer showed off her "guns" on the red carpet. We cringed at the ensemble and the idea of how comfortable it must have been to wear... whatever that was.

Could that slit in her dress be ANY higher? Don't think it's possible.

Where to start?! The dress? The shoes? The bag?!?! So many faux pas, so little time.
  • Esperanza Spalding 9 of 13

I love Esperanza, but her dress looked like a craft project gone wrong.

The Cuban-born singer wore a multi-colored beaded gown that looked like a 5-year-old's spin art magically transformed itself into a dress.

Is this by Gunne Sax circa 1986? Just wondering.

Beach cover-up? Or Grammy gown? You decide!

Tropical? Yes. Red carpet worthy? No.
