Gwen Stefani Says Being A Working Mom Is Hard WorkJoanna Mazewski
Duh. I mean, anyone who has tried waking up in the morning, getting the kids ready for school, making them breakfast, putting something decent on themselves, driving them to school, going to work, dealing with crap from your boss, picking up the kids, making dinner, helping them with their homework, and putting them to bed and having to do it all over again the next day knows that being a working mom sucks you-know-what like you wouldn’t believe. But on the other hand, it’s the best job ever, right?
Well, Gwen Stefani must have relived the above scenario a few times herself as she’s recently revealed to Elle UK that trying to balance work and motherhood is no walk in the park. No Doubt, for sure.
Gwen says of being a working mom, “Being a mom is hard, I think a lot of working moms feel that way. [They want] to have time to be themselves as well, but it’s really hard; there’s a price to pay. Like today, I’m here talking to you and my son is at the beach. It would be super fun to watch his little four-year-old chunky legs running around, you know.”
I’ll forgive her for stating the obvious this time around because I am truly loving her cover for Elle UK this month. It’s so gorgeous and folksy if you ask me, and folksy works on Gwen. In fact, folksy works on just about everyone. Thoughts?
