Charlie Sheen will no longer want to wear his Hanes underwear since the company is ending its advertising campaign with him.
Hanes spokesman Matt Hall explained it’s because of the allegations against Sheen regarding domestic violence.
“It’s a pretty standard, straightforward call when somebody who’s in your commercials is arrested on suspicion of something of this magnitude,” Hall said. “And we would suspend the ads both for the company and, really, for Mr. Sheen and his family as well. Given the publicity, it makes sense to not air those ads during that time.”
The TV ads stopped on December 28 but print ads will stay around into the spring.
Sheen didn’t attend the People’s Choice Awards last night. He lost to The Office’s Steve Carell on the Best TV Comedy Actor award.
