Happy Again! Katie Holmes and Suri Walk to School (Photos)

Someone apparently forgot to tell Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise that it’s Monday morning. Or that it’s a school day.
They must also have missed the memo about Suri being unhappy all the time ever since her parents’ split and their move to Manhattan.
Today found both mother and daughter smiling openly as they walked hand-in-hand to Suri’s school, Avenues. They must have gotten an early start, because they had time to stop at Starbucks on the way so Katie could get a large cup of Mom Fuel.
Suri’s exclusive school requires her to wear a plain uniform, but there are no rules on how she can accessorize. She looked absolutely beautiful in her bright pink coat, her hair neatly pulled back with a yellow headband.
And though she must surely be still feeling the effects of the upheaval in her life, it sure looks as though she’s adjusting to her new school, new home and new life.
