Cam Newton Scandal – Is His Dad Included in the Investigation?
When you are a college athletic star there are a couple things you do and don’t do. You make sure to win for your team, you keep your body healthy and you don’t and I repeat don’t rack in the cash. The piles of money comes later when you are a pro superstar. But on the college level you do not enjoy the perks of a big bank account due to your sports skills. But it appears that star Quarterback for the Auburn University Football team Cam Newton may not have heard about that last rule.
There are presently allegations that he was trying to solicit a big pay day from colleges to lure him there, this was when he was looking to transfer from Florida to apparently greener – in the money sense – pastures. But that’s a big no-no in college ball. You do not get paid. And Cam isn’t the only one reportedly being investigated.
The NCAA requested financial statements from Cam’s dad the Pastor Cecil Newton. They apparently requested bank statements and records from his church. A church that just went through a big overhaul. A church that was set to be demolished. A church where it now up to code even though Cam’s mom said of the church that “we don’t have any money…we have nothing.” So why would the NCAA request the financial records of the church? Do they think that Cam used the ill gotten gains to fix up the ailing building? Or do they think they are using it as some kind of money laundering front. At this time the NCAA will not comment on or if there is even an investigation.
One thing for sure, after Cam’s arrest a couple year ago and now this, his Heisman dreams may soon be out of reach.

There is absolutely no reason to not believe this story. None. Clearly something fishy went on. Pray all you want. See where that gets you. God (if He even exists) will not protect the guilty. Let the truth be known.

You said cam newtons arrest, that is false. No charges were ever brought up on cam newton. Get your facts right.
Innocent until proven guilty….but if he is guilty…he chose the actions and therefore he chose the consequences.
I would like to add that the money was from mississpi, not auburn. So if anything is proven nothing will happen to auburn they will still be undefeated at this point and there’s a good chance newton will still be there. Bama fans don’t want to see newton with the tigers in the iron bowl because they are scared. Alabama is far from classy, I believe they have been on probation severel times and even in the past decade. You all need to get your facts right actually look into what your talking about and maybe you’d realize this is more than likely just some idiot trying to stop auburn off the field since obviously they can’t do it on the field.

Cam is a great player and has a great chance of playing NFL ball… This is an extortion ploy and should not be considered legit!! Cam is a christian boy and would not anything like they are alleging!! If Auburn was not winning, this would not be an issue!!!! This poor boy should be focused on the game; not this!!! Thanks a lot!!!! Go WAR EAGLES!!!!
