Hilary Duff Loves Diaper Duty!

By shanaaborn |

Hilary Duff loves everything about little Luca - including poopy diapers!

Parenthood does some extremely weird things to you. Suddenly, you become fascinated by events and bodily functions you never had much of an interest in before.

Just ask Hilary Duff. Ever since her son, Luca Cruz, arrived just over a month ago, she can’t get enough of him – and every little thing he does.

She tells the new issue of Life & Style Weekly, “I’m so interested to see what’s inside the diaper.” (And you know she’s not talking about the absorbent fibers.) “If my husband changes him, I’m like, ‘Oh, what did we get?’ It’s bizarre!”

Hilary also admits that though it took a while to get the hang of breastfeeding, it’s now a cherished part of her day. “We’ve bonded a lot during feeding,” she says. “It’s very, very special.”

From the sound of it, she’s so committed to nursing that she doesn’t pump and store her milk during the day. She tells the magazine that she manages her schedule around Luca’s feeding times, squeezing in gym time and errands before rushing home to put on the Boppy.

Hilary’s husband, Mike Comrie, is an equally devoted dad, she says. “He tells me, ‘I can’t stop kissing him; I know it must bug him, but I can’t stop.’”

And while the couple wisely schedules evenings out so they can enjoy some adult time, it’s hard for the new mom to be apart from her little boy. A few days ago, she tweeted, “So nice to have a night out but we miss monkey!!”

Sounds like a true mom in love!
