Hilary Duff: My Marriage Is Stronger Since I Became a Mom!

Hilary Duff's marriage has been enriched by little Luca.

When you’re in the midst of those first few new-baby weeks, up to your elbows in bottles (or nursing pillows) and wipes, it seems like that little guy is dominating your entire life. Everything else – including that beloved partner who helped bring your baby into the world – tends to fade into the background, at least for a while.

Not so Hilary Duff. She tells Us Weekly that since giving birth to their son, Luca, her marriage to Mike Comrie has actually become better than ever!

“Having a baby is a lot of hard work,” she explains, “and you really depend on each other for a lot. There is so much love…you can’t imagine it until it happens to you and you look at your husband and you think, ‘We did this together.’”

But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t need a little help from other experts!

On her Twitter account the other day, she sent out a call for help: “Hey moms, any tips for filing baby’s nails? The little bugger wriggles up a storm & they grow so fast it’s like I’m giving him miracles grow!”

(We think she means the plant food Miracle-Gro, but she can’t be blamed for a touch of mommy brain!)

According to her tweets, Hilary is settling into motherhood very nicely, even finding time for workouts – and some all-important time with her husband!

“Got the baby down…having a glass of wine and taking a dip in the hot tub with my hubby!” she tweeted on Friday night. “Withhh the video monitor of course ;) #greatnight”

Sounds like all is bliss in the Comrie house!
