Holly Robinson Peete Joins Celebrity Apprentice to Raise Money for Autism

holly-robinson-peeete-autism-john-travolta-son-300x227Actress Holly Robinson Peete made the tough decision to leave her husband, retired NFL quarterback Rodney Peete, and their four children for a month back in Los Angeles while she raised money for her charity, the HollyRod Foundation, in New York City where she possibly would hear those two terrifying words from Donald Trump: “You’re fired!”  That’s right, Holly will be on the upcoming season of Celebrity Apprentice, premiering March 14.

Back in LA, Rodney held down the busy household caring for four kids ranging in age from 4 to 12. And for that Holly gives her husband a solid B- on the job he did. (But of course an A+ to his face like all smart moms!)

Working on behalf of charity made her time away from the family worth it. The HollyRod Foundation, started 11 years ago, focuses its efforts on autism and Parkinson’s disease. Through watching Holly’s father, Matthew T. Robinson, struggle with Parkinson’s disease the Peetes were moved to form the foundation. After Holly and Rodney’s eldest son, RJ, was diagnosed with autism, the foundation expanded its mission creating the hollyrod4kids initiative. So who will Holly be competing against? Here’s the lineup:

The men’s team: Rod Blagojevich, Bill Goldberg, Michael Johnson, Bret Michaels, Sinbad, Darryl Strawberry and Curtis Stone.

The women’s team: Selita Ebanks, Maria Kanellis, Cyndi Lauper, Carol Leifer, Sharon Osbourne and Summer Sanders. And of course Holly.

No, you’re not the only one saying “Who is that?” with a few of those names…
