Honey Boo Boos Mom June Shannon Says Their Family Is "Relatable"

Honey Boo Boo

Huh?

You know, I have family overseas and when the Kardashians announced that they were starring in their own reality show, my first thought was dear God I hope they don’t show it over there. Well, they did. Then Jersey Shore came out and I thought the same thing and the show ended up being broadcasted across the pond, too. And now with this Honey Boo Boo and circus of a family, I know better. The French are really laughing in our faces.

Well, Honey Boo Boo’s mom, June Shannon, says her self-proclaimed “redneck family” is likable because they’re relatable. I’m yet to meet a mother who dips their newborn’s pacifier in a can of Mountain Dew (although I’m sure it happens somewhere out there), but according to June, there are plenty of families in America just like hers. Really? Because TLC never picks out the extreme ones out there, now do they? Here’s what she says:

“A lot of people say they can relate to us.”

Our fan base tells us that when they have a bad day they can be able to watch our show and be able to get a good laugh; I honestly laugh at the show too because it is kind of funny, because we know we have fun filming it. It’s just all about having fun and making memories.”

Tell us, are you a fan of Honey Boo Boo and her family? I couldn’t tell you if I’m a fan just yet, because I’ve been too busy strategically trying to poke my eyeballs out to avoid witnessing the demise of pop culture because I don’t know how we are ever going to dig ourselves out of this one.
