How In The World Did Sandra Bullock Keep Her Baby A Secret?

When I woke up this morning and first saw the headline “Sandra Bullock Adopts Baby, Divorces Jesse,” I chuckled at the inventiveness of what I thought was going to end up being a completely fabricated story. Divorce? Okay. But a baby?  No way! It’s just too insane.

But lo and behold, fact is far crazy than fiction in this case. With paparazzi and reporters tracking her every single move after her Oscar win and during the fall out from the Jesse James scandal, you would have thought this would have come to light sooner. How in the world did Sandra keep this baby hidden since January?

Sandra tells People it was like,“a CIA mission.  Anything we did with Louis had to be pre-planned. Just the doctors’ visits were filled with decoys and dark cars.”

“I didn’t want Louis pulled into the awards season energy. I wanted him all to myself. I did not want him brought into a world that would have not been as sincere to him as I would have wanted.”

So when she went into hiding after news broke of Jesse’s affair, it wasn’t shame but a mom being protective of her new child.

Jesse’s children Sunny, Jesse Jr., and Chandler, whom all stayed with Sandra while Jesse was in sex rehab, knew about Louis and were able to keep it quiet–an amazing feat for kids. “They knew this had to be kept quiet, and I knew how hard that was going to be, especially when you are just bursting at the seams with pride and you want to scream it at everyone you see and meet.”

Sandra told only a handful of other people and held meetings with friends at hotels. Her make-up artist couldn’t understand why she was so tired.

It’s truly amazing no one found out. Guess it just shows that no matter how trying a time a mother is going through, she’ll always shield her babies.
