Well no official numbers have been released yet, but you know HBO’s pencil pushers are doing the math late Saturday night into Sunday morning. One ranking specialist predicted that there would probably be twice as many pay-per-view buys as the Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey bout that had about 700,000 orders. (You can see the top tickets right here. )So if 1.4 million ordered the fight, that would be a revenue of about $70,000,000. Not bad for a day’s work. And the boys in the bout had an incentive to get as many people to tune in as possible…Pacquiao would get an extra $10 million and Margarito an extra $3 Million if the fight sold well.
Do you think this fight ranked in the top ten of Pay-Per-View fights in the last 10 years?
