With the pressures of Hollywood causing celebs to keep in shape, how will they not indulge this holiday season?
One celebrity has just revealed that her life-long secret is – Weight Watchers.
Actress Ginnifer Goodwin, 32, has been a member of Weight Watchers for 23 years.
Yes, that’s right. Since she was nine years old. Although the Big Love actress has no particular health and body problems, but “I tend to indulge,” she reveals in the January/February 2011 issue of Health magazine.
Goodwin said she has struggled with her weight since she was a child. “I can be indulgent for six month[s] and put on some weight, but I still never actually get to the point of being unhappy and self-destructive,” she said.
Being on Weight Watchers keeps her weight and health in check.
Amy Adams will likely indulge this holiday season. The 36-year-old actress gave birth to daughter Aviana in May but has a healthy attitude about her weight.
“Being pregnant finally helped me understand what my true relationship was with my body—meaning that it wasn’t put on this earth to look good in a swimsuit,” Adams said.
While preparing for her role as Charlene Fleming in “The Fighter,” Adams didn’t hit the gym very hard. She was worried to wear revealing clothing in the film and wanted to hit the gym but the director scratched the idea. “He said, I want you to look like a girl who drinks beer,'” Adams said.
His decision fit right in with Adams’s perspective on living a healthy lifestyle.
“I’ve been working out when I can, and I’m trying to eat in a healthful way, but losing weight is not my number-one priority. It’s part of my job to return to some semblance of what I was before,” Adams said.
“But I don’t feel I’ve ever made my career on my rockin’ bod.”
