Hurricane Sandy: Stars Who Giving a Helping Hand in Relief Efforts!

Bethenny Frankel Gave Big

On Friday night a whole bunch of stars will be partaking in NBC’s Hurricane Sandy:Coming Together  donation relief telethon from New Jersey son’s Bruce “The Boss” Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi to other super stars like Christina Aguilera and Sting.

It will hopefully be a big night in money raising to benefit all those who have been displaced and whose lives have temporarily destroyed by the wrath of Hurricane Sandy.  But there celebrity lead donations started before the all-star telethon from a Real Housewife who donated $50,000 to a entertainment company donating $2 million.

    Kirstie Alley took matters into her own hands. She asked that people bring blankets, socks, underwear, snack foods and more down to her store Organic Liaison in Los Feliz. She wrote on Twitter, "HEY!!! ALL my friends from LA!!!! Bring stuff to my store today for storm victims ..yeah that's YOU!!!! Truck leaves tonight!!!! BRING IT!!"

    Snooki's home in New Jersey lost power due to Hurricane Sandy, she has since escaped to her mother's house in New York that does have electricity. But before she left she donated a whole bunch of clothing to those in need tweeting, "I'm coming with clothes to keep warm!!!" She gave over a dozen bags of clothes including "a lot of sweat pants, zip ups and track suits of mine," she said. But the recipients may do better by taking the items, putting them on eBay and making some quick cash for food and other necessities.

    Mob Wives star Renee Graziano started a fund for Hurricane Sandy Relief. Renee wrote, "This campaign is to raise money and awareness for the victims of Superstorm Sandy.
This storm has left my hometown devasted and scurrying for relief in my forgotten borough.
Literally lives have been washed away along with their homes and memories.
Children have been lost. Parents have been taken. Pets are missing.
Please help my beloved Staten Island."

    Holly Robinson Peete and her HollyRod Foundation are doing what they can to help kids who have special needs. She wrote on Twitter, "Excited to join with @ArevaMartin @jodigomes to help provide much needed clothing, blankets, shoes, etc to #specialneeds kids #SandyRelief"

    Bethenny Frankel made a very generous donation, she gave $50,000 to Red Cross! "Bethenny is an East Coast girl," a source told US Weekly, "and hopes the stream of donations from people all over America and the world will reach those affected, save more lives and help build back the East Coast. It is so important in times like this that we come together and help in any way we can."

    Not only did Bethenny give $50,000 but Skinnygirl cockails reportedly matched her donation and gave an additional 50k.

    Viacom
    Media giant Viacom donated $1 million to Hurricane Sandy which will be split between Mayor's Fund for NYC and local relief groups in Connecticut, Long Island , New Jersey and Westchester County.

    Time Warner
    Time Warner (which includes Warner Bros., HBO, Turner Broadcasting System and Time Inc) has donated $1 million to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

    Our mothership here at Babble, the Walt Disney Company, declared that they will be giving $2 million to relief and recovery efforts. They will also match any employee made donations.
