If Kids Decided Who Won the Oscar® for Best Animated Feature
You know who picks the winner for the Best Animated Feature Oscar® at the Academy Awards? Old people, as in full gown adults. Those 6,000 esteemed, movie going members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences are the ones who decide. Those people who are swayed and swooned over by screeners, studio politics, gift baskets and full page ads in the Hollywood Reporter. But you know who should actually be picking the winner of the Best Animated Feature category? Kids. They are the ones the films were created for. They are the true intended audience. They should be the ones who decide who gets the most coveted honor in the world of film. We don’t know yet who will really win the Oscar® on Sunday but we asked a bunch of our kid pals to see what film they thought should win and why. Here are the results:
