Iron Man Comes to Disneyland! Awesome Exhibit Opens Soon

imt189402SMALLIron Man 3 won’t be taking over movie theater screens until May 3rd, but you can get a first hand sneak peek of this much anticipated Iron Man sequel at the “Happiest Place on Earth.” Yup, Iron Man will be paying a visit to Disneyland!

Disneyland wrote:

“Iron Man Tech Presented by Stark Industries will give Disneyland park guests the chance to see Tony Stark’s Hall of Armor, featuring Iron Man suits Mark I-VII the same suits featured in “Iron Man 3.” And you will even be able to virtually “suit up,” yourself! Through simulation technology, guests will be able to see what it’s like to operate the latest pieces of the Mark 42 Iron Man armor, even getting the chance to test out its infamous repulsor blasts.”

One person who will be excited about this is Kevin Feige, the president of production at Marvel Studios. We spoke to Kevin last month and he mentioned is love of Disney saying,  “I’m obsessed with Disney and with Disney theme parks, and when I was first told by the heads of Marvel (and they asked), “what do you think of Disney?  We’re thinking of selling the company.” I pulled out my wallet, I got the annual pass, the Disney DVC membership, all of that stuff, because I was just obsessed with it.  That’s what my family did, was go to the Disney theme parks every year.  And still do, over New Years down in Florida.”

He added, “and as we hope to get into more of the parks and things like that, I want kids to be able to come experience Marvel the way I would go experience the Disney parks.” And now, his hopes seem to be coming true!

The  Iron Man Tech Presented by Stark Industries exhibit opens at Innoventions in Disneyland park on April 13.
