She might only be two-weeks-old, but France’s first baby Giulia Sarkozy already has a big task ahead of her: to help get her father reelected for a second term as president of France.
It was only one month ago that mom Carla Bruni-Sarkozy said that she would do “everything she can” to shield her newborn from the public spotlight, but it looks like Carla might already be suffering from a little post-partum memory loss. The new mom cradled her baby during a stroll at the La Lanterne Park in Versailles, France with Nicolas Sarkozy by her side for a photo op that some say was tipped by the president’s aides for some much-needed publicity shots.
Sarkozy is currently trailing in the polls to Socialist presidential candidate Francois Hollande who is current favorite to become France’s next president. Baby Giulia better start working those cameras in her custom-made Dior onesies if she wants to help her father keep his current job.
Check out our pictures of the First family of France and tell us what you think. Do you think the Obamas are going to engage in similar family photo ops come next year too? Or is that just a French thing?
