Is Jessica Simpson Getting Married Next Week?

New (second-time) parents and newlyweds?

Is Jessica Simpson planning a white Christmas — as in wedding white?

The newest rumor to emerge from the mill, courtesy of RadarOnline, is that Jess and fiance Eric Johnson will be traveling on the 21st — with a very special twist.

“For the holidays, Eric and Jessica are going to Hawaii, and they’ve invited their close friends and family,” says an insider. What’s more, the couple is said to be making a “big announcement” once they arrive.

Since the family presumably knows that Jessica is pregnant again (which she has yet to confirm or deny, BTW), the Simpson clan is guessing that a romantic beach-side wedding is in the works.

The “Jessica’s getting married” rumor has gone around more than once, of course. Before today, the most recent word was that she and Eric had picked the lucky date of 12/12/12. But there were a few roadblocks on the way to that goal — among them the drama surrounding Jessica’s dad, the wedding of Jess’s best friend Cacee Cobb, and the unexpected (still unconfirmed) news of a sibling for little Maxwell Drew.

If anything, this year has taught Jessica that life has a way of getting in the way of one’s plans — so it seems she’s scrapping the idea of waiting until the absolute perfect moment (not to mention the perfect bridal-gown weight) to tie the knot.

Radar’s source says that she just wants a “relaxed and intimate” ceremony, and may finally allow herself to be seen without covering up her new bump.

A quiet Hawaiian wedding might disappoint fans who were hoping for a gala affair, but it sounds like the perfect way to cap off a most eventful year!

What’s your take? Would you like to see Jessica married at last?
