Put this one in the Take It With a Giant Block of Salt file.
Star magazine is reporting that Megan Fox is expecting a baby girl with husband Brian Austin Green. An unidentified source tells the tab that the couple, who are helping raise Brian’s 10-year-old son, are overjoyed. “Obviously, Megan and Brian would be happy with a healthy baby of either gender, but they’re beyond thrilled that Kassius is going to have a little sister.”
That’s great news – or it would be if it actually proves true.
Trouble is, the two-years-wed pair haven’t officially come out and said that they’re expecting in the first place. Several tabs have been touting the news as confirmed, but no word yet from either the actors or their reps.
In fact, just a couple of weeks ago, Brian told People magazine, “They’ve been saying that [she's pregnant] every three weeks since we got married, and it’s sort of one of those things that they love to say.”
Then there was the awkward Entertainment Tonight interview, cut short by Megan’s publicists when the subject of babies came up.
The physical evidence would seem to disprove the pregnancy story, too. Why?
According to the Star report, Megan is due at the end of September or early October, which would make her roughly four months pregnant now. But this photo was taken at the end of April, and there isn’t even a hint of a bump. Either she’s one of the lucky ones who doesn’t start to show until the labor pains start, or else there’s nothing to show.
And if she is expecting and entering her second trimester, why would the couple want to hide the news? Other expectant celebs have had good reason to keep quiet for a while – like Snooki, whose pregnancy threw a wrench into the production plans for Jersey Shore, or Drew Barrymore, whose condition is pretty obvious by now, but who wants to keep attention focused on her upcoming wedding.
But Megan has no reality show, and the couple are about to celebrate their two-year anniversary with a trip to Hawaii. This would seem the perfect time to trumpet the news and get a little extra media attention, particularly with Brian’s TV pilot debuting.
So we’re going to hold off on buying those pink onesies until we actually get an invite to the baby shower.
What do you think? Are the rumors true?
