Jack White & Karen Elson Have a Divorce Party: Making Their Break Up Fun For the Whole Family!

Jack White and Karen Elson to Divorce with a Party!

Talk about turning lemons into sweet tasty lemonade, musician Jack White and model Karen Elson are having a big blow out party to celebrate their divorce. Instead of making this life changing event a big downer, the two are  going to celebrate their “6th anniversary and their upcoming divorce with a positive swing bang hum dinger.”

Their invite also said that the party would, “include dancing, photos, memories, and drinks with alcohol in them,” to help them, “celebrate together this anniversary of the making and breaking of the sacred union of marriage with our best friends and animals”

The party will be held in Nashville and is just for close friends and family, making what usually would be traumatic into something fun. It’s a great message to send to their two children ages 4 and 5, an age where they would probably have trouble understanding why mommy and daddy aren’t together anymore. But in throwing a party they are really spinning their break up in a positive way. And their children are of the utmost importance as they made clear in their statement to the press:

“We remain dear and trusted friends and co-parents to our wonderful children Scarlett and Henry Lee,” Jack White and Karen Elson said in the statement. “We feel so fortunate for the time we have shared and the time we will continue to spend both separately and together watching our children grow.” They continued saying, “In honor of that time shared, we are throwing a divorce party. An evening together in Nashville to re-affirm our friendship and celebrate the past and future with close friends and family.”

Hope that everyone  - young and old – has a great time at the party! What do you think of that concept?
