Jackie Evancho, who won over America’s Got Talent viewers, signed a record deal with SYCO/Columbia Records.
Jackie Evancho got her start singing when she was 7, after watching “The Phantom of the Opera.” From there, her family recorded and put her singing videos on YouTube, where her performances snagged more than 30 million views.
Rob Stringer, Chairman, Columbia/Epic Label Group, said of signing Jackie Evancho, “Jackie has a rare and precious talent and we are excited to help develop that talent in her future recording career!”
Look for Jackie Evancho’s first CD to be released early next year. There’s some buzz that Evancho will record a holiday song – no doubt fans would love to get their hands on that!
Jackie Evancho’s parents commented, “It’s already been an amazing journey for Jackie and we are so proud of and happy for her.”
