On the heels of the announcement that actor James Van Der Beek recently married his pregnant girlfriend, Kimberly Brook, we can’t help but wonder what his fellow Dawson’s Creek stars are up to–and which of them have kids. So, we did some digging on the actors from our fave late 90s/early 2000s teen drama (the digging was necessary for some of the stars more than others–ahem, Katie Holmes). Here’s what we found.
Katie Holmes aka Joey Potter
The quirky, somewhat dorky girl next door (err, girl across the creek) from the show grew up to be probably the most famous star from Dawson’s Creek. We’ve all scrutinized and followed her marriage with Tom Cruise and analyzed every move her daughter Suri has made since birth. This starlet is an angsty teen no more.
Michelle Williams aka Jen Lindley
The actress, who played resident reformed bad-girl next door Jen Lindley, went on to become the classiest of screen sirens, starring in huge hits like Brokeback Mountain, among others. Williams had daughter, Matilda, 4, with the late actor and ex-fiance Heath Ledger. Since Ledger’s passing, Williams has laid pretty low when not acting, living as normal a life as it seems a celebrity can, with her daughter in Brooklyn, New York.
Busy Philipps aka Audrey Liddell
Philipps joined the Creek later on in the series, as Joey Potter’s crazy college roommate, and is continuing her career of playing quirky characters. The 31-year-old now stars as Laurie in the Courteney Cox sitcom, Cougar Town. She has a 2-year-old daughter, Birdie Leigh with writer/producer husband Marc Silverstein and is the godmother to fellow Creek alum Michelle Williams’ daughter, Matilda.

Joshua Jackson aka Pacey Witter
The guy who played Dawson’s best friend-turned-Joey’s love interest isn’t married and doesn’t have kids–yet, at least. Instead, he seems to be enjoying life and re-reveling in his Creek days. The actor recently staged a Pacey-Con outside the famous Comic Convention, where he paid homage to his beloved character, Pacey Witter, through read-alouds of fan fiction and more.
Kerr Smith aka Jack McPhee
This brooding actor played the shy newbie to the Capeside high school scene–complete with identity issues to boot. More recently, Smith starred in the 2009 film My Bloody Valentine 3D and the current TV drama, Life Unexpected. He married Harmoni Everett in 2003–the same year Dawson’s Creek wrapped–only to divorce six years later.
