It’s a Sonny day for Jason Lee!
The actor (who recently appeared on Up All Night) and his wife, Ceren, welcomed their third child, a boy, on June 16, their rep tells People. And talk about up all night – their son made his appearance shortly before 3:00 AM.
And true to form, Jason chose a name just slightly different from the norm. His new son is Sonny, and he joins his 3 1/2-year-old sister, Casper, and his half-brother, 8-year-old Pilot Inspektor.Although Sonny and Casper are too young to realize that their dad is famous for playing both live and voice-over roles in popular kids’ films – he plays Dave in the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies and was the voice of Syndrome in The Incredibles – Pilot is well aware of it, and Jason is happy to be part of projects that his kids will enjoy.
“It’s not for my son, but it’s a bonus that I have a son that’s very excited about movies like this,” he said when the first Alvin film was released. “…You know, in The Incredibles he knows it’s my voice, and Underdog…but seeing me on the screen with the Chipmunks, I think that’s a step above.”
Here’s to the new arrival – and to seeing Jason in more films that will entertain his kids for years to come!
