Jenna Fischer is gracing REDBOOK’s March cover. In a candid interview, the star talks about marriage, career, staying in shape, and her new movie, Hall Pass.
Jenna is most well known for her character Pam Beesly on NBC’s The Office. The Emmy-nominated actress was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on March 7, 1974. She was raised in St. Louis, Missouri and after graduating from high school, she studied theater arts at Truman State University. She made her debut as a professional actress in the 1998.
Here’s a taste of what you can expect from the her REDBOOK interview, which goes on sale February 15th.
REDBOOK: As an actress, do you feel pressure to stay in shape?
Jenna: “In a normal job, if you gain or lose a few pounds, it’s no big deal. But in my business you have to tell someone so that the next time you go to a fitting, the clothes are the right size. It’s really embarrasing to have to say to your manager, “I’m now a 6 pant instead of a 4.” Emails go out, and they cc the agents: “Jenna would like everyone to know that she’s now a 6 pant.” This is why actresses obsess about their weight. It’s not a private affair.”
She also dishes about her niece, the new movie she’s starring in and her thoughts on her divorce. She says that “Finding love is not as hard as picking the right person to spend the rest of your life with.”
I think she looks lovely on the cover! I am looking forward to reading the rest of the interview, too.
