Jennifer Connelly & 5 Other Celebrities Who Had Water Births at Home

Some celebrities like Victoria Beckham have their babies by scheduling a C-section, others opt to go the opposite route. They have their babies at home. And not just at home but in their tub, opting for a water birth.

While a water birth may not be everyone, it was for these celebrities. Check out who has had their child at home while submerged in water, including actress Jennifer Connelly who is the newest addition to the baby water birth club.

 

 

 

Jennifer Connelly
On May 31st, 2010 actress Jennifer Connelly and her husband Paul Bettany welcomed a new daughter Agnes Lark. Agnes was born at home in a birthing pool.

Gisele Bündchen
Gisele had her son Benjamin at home in the Boston condo she shares with husband Tom Brady. She said that the water birth “wasn’t painful, not even a little bit.”

Charlotte Church
The British singer Charlotte Church gave birth to her daughter Ruby at home in a birthing pool. But she wasn’t as lucky as Gisele saying, “I was so anxious before, thinking, ‘Is it really going to hurt that much?’ And it really does hurt that muchand ten million times more! The pain is outrageous!”

Ricki Lake
Ricki Lake became so passionate about home births that she did a documentary about it called The Business of Being Born. She gave birth to her son Owen at home in her bathtub.

Jessica Alba
Although she has not had her second child yet, she and her hubby Cash Warren are planning on doing Hypno Birthing for the delivery. But things happen and plans change, so we’ll just have to wait to see if she does.
