Jennifer Hudson Heading Back To Work After Baby

By Britt Reints |

jennifer-hudson-going-back-to-workJennifer Hudson has accepted her first movie role since having her first child.

Jennifer gave birth to her son David in August and in October she was having a hard time with the idea of getting back to work.  Now, almost a year after the tragic death of her mother, brother and nephew, the award winning singer and actress is taking serious steps towards heading back to work full time.

Jennifer Hudson is taking on the role of Nelson Mandela’s former wife, Winnie, in a new movie.  Filming on the movie, aptly titled Winnie, is set to begin next spring.  Hudson is looking forward to the new challenge.

“I was compelled and moved when I read the script,” Jennifer said. “Winnie Mandela is a complex and extraordinary woman, and I’m honored to be the actress asked to portray her. This is a powerful part of history that should be told.”

Jennifer had said in the past that she planned to enlist the help of a traveling nanny when she got back to work full time.  It sounds like it’s time to start the interview process.
