American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson quickly became a weight loss idol after shedding major pounds on Weight Watchers. The singer went from a size 16 to a size 6 on the popular weight loss program, and immediately became one of the company’s spokespeople–and now she’s taking that duty a step further.
Hudson is now fronting the company’s Lose for Good campaign. The program aims to educate families on preparing healthy–and inexpensive–meals in the home and keep both hunger and obesity at bay.
Between Sept. 5 and Oct. 23, any Weight Watchers members–online or otherwise who participate in Weight Watchers activities and/or lose weight on the program will contribute to the company’s goal of raising and donating $1 million to Share our Strength and Action Against Hunger, two organizations that work to end hunger.
Now that’s a celeb mom’s actions we can get behind.
