Times are changing and with it comes new ways to ease your mind when giving birth. Just ask Jessica Alba who is partaking in hynobirthing classes.
Alba, who is expecting her second child with husband Cash Warren, was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today and opened up about the unusual class.
“It’s not like the clock in front of your face and you go out and you wake up and you got a baby,” Jessica joked. “Basically, my husband takes me through sort of a meditation. He’ll say, ‘You’re relaxed, and you’re floating on clouds,’ while you’re going through labor and your contractions,” she went on to explain.
“I’m just concentrating on breathing and staying relaxed because it’s when you get tense that makes the whole labor worse and more painful,” says the actress. “That’s all it is. It’s not like a weird thing.”
Jessica freaked out the first time around with Honor, 2, and hopes to not have a similar experience.
Now, I’ve heard a lot of birthing techniques including water birth, silent birth, and now this class. Which do I think is best? I may never know.
Which birthing method do you prefer? Why?
