Pregnant Jessica Simpson Confirms: Yep, It's a Boy!

One of the celebrity world’s worst-kept secrets is finally official!

Jessica Simpson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight, looking fantastic in her black stretch maternity dress with lace sleeves from her own Jessica Simpson Maternity collection. Right off the bat, Jimmy asked how she was feeling.

Jess replied that this pregnancy is totally different from her experience with daughter Maxwell. “I feel awful,” she confessed. “I’ve been vomiting…and the crazy thing is that a weiner could actually make me nauseous.”

As the audience howled, she laughed, “I guess I just told everyone I’m having a boy!”

Later, she admitted that this might not have been the best way to make the announcement. “I feel crude – I feel awful!” she said.

Jimmy pointed out that the rumors of her having a boy have been around for a while (the tabs have been quoting unnamed “sources”) – and suggested that she “need[s] to get better friends.”

He also asked about the other rumor that she and fiance Eric Johnson will be naming their son “Ace.” (Jessica has a grandfather named Acy.)

The mom-to-be didn’t confirm that – but she didn’t deny it, either. However, Jimmy did point out that early rumors about her daughter’s name turned out to be true, so we’re thinking these sources might just be on the level here, too, especially given the family link.

The late-night host asked yet another question that’s been on everyone’s mind: when she and Eric are going to tie the knot at last.

“I keep planning to get married, but I keep getting knocked up!” she joked. But she did allow that it will happen before too much longer.

The other aspect of this pregnancy that thrills Jessica is that her best friend, CaCee Cobb, is also expecting a baby with new husband Donald Faison.

She cracked that she and CaCee will force them to be friends by sending them to school and sharing sandwiches together.

Well, it may not be a secret any more – but it’s still great news!
