As any parent would know, raising small children is no easy feat and with the roller-coaster of emotions that can sometimes go with it, it can get quite draining. Celebrity mom Jessica Simpson knows exactly what I’m talking about, and now that she’s going to be a mother to two little babies (under the age of two!), she’s preparing herself for the challenges that lie ahead.
In a new interview with People Magazine, the fashion maven says: “Motherhood is the best thing I’ve ever experienced – and the most challenging. On some of the days of Fashion Star, I’m awake before [my daughter Maxwell] is awake, and I’m not home until she’s already back to sleep.
The 32-year-old former chart topper adds: “That’s only happened about four times, but it makes the day awful. I definitely need to see my baby.”
“I get really sad if I don’t get to see her,” she continues. “And then when Maxwell sees me, she just stares at me and touches my face. I can tell she missed me. That breaks my heart.”
Hey, Jess, don’t beat yourself too much over it because there are millions of mothers out there who feel the same way you do and face the same dilemmas as well. As we all know, every waking moment with our babies count and we try to make the most out of it, too. Motherhood might be challenging, but it’s the best job out there as well.
