Joe Puryear lost his life last week while climbing in Tibet. Mountain climbing was his life’s passion, and Joe Puryear was considered one of the top climbers in the Seattle area.
In order to properly bury their husband, son, and friend, Joe Puryear’s family needs your help in bringing him home to Washington. A donation fund has been set up on Puryear’s blog, Climb Tibet, for anyone who is able to help.
Earlier today, Joe Puryear’s wife Lisa posted one final blog post in honor of her husband.
She said, “To Joe, my best friend, lover, and husband: you made the world a beautiful place for not only me but every person whose life you have touched. I am the luckiest woman alive to have spent the last ten years of my life sharing your adventures. I have experienced the greatest happiness and love anyone could ever hope for, especially in this last year. I hold you in my mind as eternally beautiful, with a huge smile and your thumbs up!”
