Jon Gosselin Takes The Kids For A Picnic, No One Calls Home Crying (that we know of!)kellidaisy
Jon Gosselin took his kids out for a picnic with girlfriend Ellen Ross just a day after ex-wife Kate appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly talking about how the kids are happier at home. RadarOnline.com has pictures of Jon, Ellen and the kids out looking happy and having fun. Later that night Jon took to his twitter account to say;
‘had great night watching the vma’s with @ellen_ross and had a blast this weekend with my kids! PS Thanks for all your tweets!!!’
Jon was referring to all the tweets of support he received after Kate appeared on the morning talk show and stated that when the kids are at Jon’s she she “basically waits for the phone call from how many of them to come home.”
Jon of course took to his twitter account to respond to Kate’s statement by tweeting;
‘As much as I want to respond to numerous LIES recently claimed on Regis and Kelly, I will refrain. I have learned from the past that it’s a waste of my time and energy. I am “rising above”, and refuse to engage in any sort of public argument that could potentially harm or upset my children. My children and the people in my life know the truth, and that is what’s important.’
When I watched Kate on Regis and Kelly I didn’t take her comments as a slam towards Jon (except the part where she said he was just starting to see them) as much as I took it a slam at the entire situation. I thought she was referring to the fact that the kids didn’t like his apartment, not so much spending time with him. She said that they preferred to be in their own home, which makes sense to me. Either way it would be nice if both of them didn’t discuss it publicly, either on television or via twitter. The kids do look happy when they’re out with their father, but like most young children I’m sure they would be happier if they didn’t have to get shuttled between their parent’s houses.
What do you think? Should Jon and Kate just keep their thoughts to themselves, or do you think Kate was justified in answering the questions that were asked of her?
