Jon Gosselin’s girlfriend, twenty-five year old Ellen Ross, has taken a lot of slack for dating the former reality TV dad. I’ll admit, I’ve made a few snarky comments, which are probably unfair. Jon has to start dating eventually. You can’t blame a person for moving on after a divorce and just because Ellen is much younger and Jon can be kind of a loser (see: objectivity), doesn’t necessarily mean she is naive. Having bad taste does not automatically equate to being a bad person.
Ellen has given her first interview and is dishing on their relationship. They met for the first time on a blind date at a BBQ and are just “a regular couple” and “have a lot in common.”
Of course. But about that GIANT dragon tattoo Jon just got on his back? It was reportedly Ellen’s idea.
Nope. “Those were some words taken out of context. The tattoo artist is my friend and has done work on me. I suggested when Jon wanted to get a tattoo that he go to my friend. That’s how that came up.”
Ellen has been spotted out with Jon’s eight little ones and he has also met her family. She tells Pop On The Pop, “Everyone close to me has [met Jon] and everyone’s supportive and totally understanding about everything.”
Dealing with paps has to be hard. Ellen herself never even watched Jon & Kate Plus 8, but you gotta figure she’s be curious to watch. If my current boyfriend had his life filmed with his ex and their kids, I’d Hulu it up stat. Maybe I am a glutton for absorbing information that will later hurt me? Maybe I am just a stalker, but I would think curiosity would get to most people?
Ellen may have another chance to watch her BF on TV. Jon has been trying for another show and was recently spotted out with a reality producer. If he does land his very own program, don’t expect to see Ellen on. “I would NEVER do [a reality show],” she says. “That is not the direction that I’d ever want my life to go into.”
Perhaps she is smarter than dating Jon Gosselin makes her out to be?
