Not likely, but it is possible. Jon and Kate Gosselin did call a brief truce before their appearance with an arbitrator and through their lawyers, said they would not be publicly commenting or “bickering.” Yes, that lasted all of five minutes.
Jon’s attorney, Mark Heller said, “We have a truce. Neither side will be commenting until after the hearing.” See? No comments until after the hearing, and then Jon and Kate will be right back at he said/she said. Sigh.
During their court appearance in Pennylvania on Tuesday, the estranged couple were told to be nice to each other. They were appearing before a judge to address the issue of Jon allegedly taking $200,000 from their joint bank account.
Judge Arthur Tilson ordered Jon to return $180,000 of the money that was taken (guess it was proven Jon did indeed remove it!) and then he asked the parents-of-eight to work something out privately and amicably.
Can they? Can Jon and Kate really finish this divorce in private and nicely? I have serious doubts. Do they not see that if they did decide to keep EVERYTHING private and amicable, their children would be so much better off?
Jon and Kate seem to want to play the “I’m right” game. And who loses that game? THE KIDS.
