Julia Roberts To Play The Evil Queen In Snow White
Julia Roberts has just closed a deal to star as the evil queen in one of three rival Snow White projects in the works!
Julia has signed to star in a modern take on the classic Disney fairytale that is being directed by Tarsem Singh (“The Cell”). There’s no title for the movie yet, and the project begins shooting in April. It is set for a June 29, 2012, release.
The classic story follows Snow White and her band of seven dwarves after her stepmother kills her father. It is set for a June 29, 2012, release.
Roberts most recently starred in “Eat Pray Love,” and you can catch her soon on screen with Tom Hanks in the comedy “Larry Crowne,” which opens July 1st.
Rumor has it that Disney is also moving ahead on a Snow White project; this one set in 19th century China, and that Universal has been courting Kristen Stewart for the lead role in its version.
This is one movie I’ll be excited to see, and I think she’ll make an amazing evil queen!
