It would have been John Lennon’s 70th birthday on October 9th. Google celebrates his birthday by using an aminated doodle of Lennon’s “Imagine”.
His son, Julian Lennon, sat down in an interview with John Roberts of CNN and talks about his photography and his famous father.
When asked about what he feels about his father and the fact that if he were alive for his birthday, Julian says it makes him think of “what age am I and what age he would’ve been…these days I look back with a fondness and with a respect and in many respects of the achievements he gained throughout his life.”
Julian’s recent photography exhibit, which honors his father, also reunited his family, including his mother, Cynthia Powell, half-brother Sean Lennon and his mother Yoko Ono.
John Roberts asks Julian to comment about the fact that Mark David Chapman, who assassinated his father on December 8, 1980, was up for parole recently and was denied for the sixth time.
Julian preferred not to comment. Watch the video.
