I’m beginning to think that my idea of “rich and famous” is very, very wrong. It’s always been my understanding that being both rich and famous automatically means your life is not just like mine. And yet, there seems to be no shortage of celebrity mothers trying to convince me that their lives are pretty much the same as mine.
Julianne Moore, who is currently appearing in the movie A Single Man, insists that she, too, lives a “very, very normal life.”
Moore, who lives in New York City with her husband and two children, talked about the details of her regular, average life during a recent interview. “My daughter has her ballet class, my son has his basketball, my husband is writing and playing golf and I act and like to decorate the house,” the actress says.
Julianna suggests that the stability she has in her family life allows her to perform better at work. “As [Gustave] Flaubert says: Be regular and orderly in your life, so that you may be violent and original in your work.’ For me, that’s kind of how it is. I have a very, very normal life, I really do.”
Do you think some celebrities really are “just like us”, or do you think their version of “normal” might be different than yours?
