This week Julia Child would have turned 100. This acclaimed cookbook author and our first real “celebrity chef” encouraged anyone and everyone, especially families, to get into the kitchen and cook delicious meals at home.

Julia Roberts 1 of 10A-list actress Julia Roberts isn't just a star on screen but in the kitchen as well. She talked to People Magazine about what her kids thought about the meals she makes them. "They think that I'm a good cook," she said. "They actually told me that I should open a restaurant." She added that their favorite dish is, "everything made with love."

Tobey Maguire 3 of 10Tobey Maguire's first career choice was actually to be a chef rather than an actor. "My mom always wanted to be an actress, so she thought I could be one for her. I really wanted to be a cook like my pop…but she wanted me to take drama instead," said McGuire.
Gavin Rossdale 4 of 10Gavin Rossdale isn't just a doting dad of two and a rock star, but Gwen Stefani's husband also happens to be a whiz in the kitchen. Gwen talked about her calorie counting and her hubby's cooking saying, "I'm conscious of what I eat, but some days I cave and have cookies. On fun nights with the family, my husband cooks amazing things and there will be carbs."

Jessica Alba 8 of 10Jessica Alba started to cook for herself at a very young age, and for a good reason. "Everyone in my family is heavily overweight. I wanted to be healthier, so I started cooking for myself when I was 12 years old." Some of her favorite foods include grilled chicken and salad.
Jennifer Lopez 9 of 10JLo reportedly loves to cook for her family, when she has time that is. Her ex-Marc Anthony once said, "She doesn't just cook. She throws down." Added Lopez, "That's a good thing."
Brad Pitt 10 of 10While some stars already had a love for cooking, some decide to learn after they have kids. Brad Pitt reportedly had been getting cooking lessons from a very famous chef, Jamie Oliver. A source revealed that, "[Jamie's] been in LA working on a TV show and Brad begged him to teach him how to cook. Neither he nor Angie have a clue in the kitchen. The only thing they can manage is pouring milk on Cheerios cereal. They don't even know how to operate the oven. They've always just relied on their staff to cook for them or they've gone to restaurants or got takeaways."
