Did you catch Justine Bateman on “Private Practice” last night? She played a patient using medical marijuana, and she looked great. So what’s the former “Family Ties” star been up to these past few years? She has two kids with husband Mark Fluent, but she’s also stayed busy with activism and gotten really into technology. To see what she believes in, read on.
Bateman is a big net neutrality supporter – she believes in, according to Wikipedia, “no restrictions by Internet Service Providers and governments on content, sites, platforms, on the kinds of equipment that may be attached, and no restrictions on the modes of communication allowed.”
Bateman is also the co-founder of online production company fm78.tv. And she runs a consulting company, SECTION 5.
As if being a mom and an entrepreneur weren’t enough, Bateman served almost three years on the national board of directors for the Screen Actors Guild, and she’s a licensed single-engine pilot!
We bet Mallory Keaton could never have packed so much into the past 21 years.
