Kat Von D and Jesse James are engaged… again! Kat Von D’s LA Ink may have been canceled, but her relationship with Jesse James is back on again.

That means Kat will once again be in position to be stepmom to James’ kids, Chandler, 16, Jesse Jr., 14, and Sunny, 7.

Kat and Jesse broke up last month, but have resumed their engagement, with James telling People.com: “Sometimes you are only given one chance in life. It was up to me to open my eyes and see it. That girl is my chance. I will never stop fighting and striving to hold on to her. Showing her how special she is, and how much I love her.”

Last time they were engaged, they had planned a summer wedding, but summer is almost over, so let’s see when they set the next date.

Kat Von D and Jesse James had noted the long distance nature of their relationship as the factor for their prior breakup.

Interestingly, they called off their engagement right before the season premiere of LA Ink, which featured footage of Kat and Jesse’s relationship onscreen.

Seems a bit like their previous breakup was just to get more eyes on her reality show – but now it’s canceled, so why not get back together?

Von D responded to the cancellation announcement by telling People: “In an effort to capitalize on my recent breakup, the network has decided to focus their energy on re-editing events that didn’t happen while filming. I have no regrets and am very proud of the original footage. In my opinion, any attempt to compromise the honesty of that would be an insult to my fans and viewers.”

Kat added, “As grateful as I am to have been a part of a show like LA Ink, I’m ready to end this chapter and want to focus on other projects now.”
