Kate and Jon Gosselin are having a tough time getting along.
Kate recently admitted that relations between them are still strained.
“I am doing what I can to reach out and communicate,’ she said. “What I receive back is not in my control. I do what I can to involve him in our family.”
Meanwhile Jon also has complaints about Kate. He tried to stop their New Zealand and Australia trip because the kids would miss school, and he says wants to spend more time with them.
The two have been in disputes since divorcing. Even therapy didn’t help – Kate Gosselin has been ordered to pay a therapist more than $10,000 in a dispute over marriage counselling.
Sylvia Lafair claimed she she flew to Los Angeles at Gosselin’s request to counsel then in March 2009 and sued after Kate didn’t pay her bill. Kate said she didn’t have a contract and is appealing.
Kate has complained about the lack of Jon’s involvement in their kids’ day to day lives.
“He has them two weekends a month,” she said. “I wish he would see them more, to be honest. So do they. I think the important thing is that I control my reaction, my attitude and my words.”
Jon recently said he would like his children not to do the reality TV show Kate Plus 8 anymore. But he does speak to his kids ever yday.
“Even when I did see them every day, it was hard to be away from then for even a little while. But I know the best thing I can do is go to work, get my paycheck and build a normal life for them when they come off TV.”
