Kate Gosselin Shares 5 Money-Saving Tips To Cut Expenses

Kate Gosselin Shares Her Top 5 Money-Saving TipsAs the summer winds down and back-to-school gears up and then enters the busy buying season, many families are looking to save money where ever they can.

I know that with two of my kids heading to school this year I am looking for ways to cut expenses and make each dollar count. Things can add up with the school supplies, clothes, lunches and all that comes with kids in school.

No one knows budgeting and spending within your means better than Kate Gosselin. The mom to 8 children aged 8-12 years old was made famous from her reality show Jon and Kate Plus 8 and Dances with the Stars. We have known her to be both meticulous about cleanliness and routine and she sure knows how to stretch a dollar.

In her latest post for Coupon Cabin, Kate shares her 5 money-saving tips with the easy expenses to cut.

She shares in her post that these cuts she makes allows her to save money “but not feel like we are missing out on anything”, which I think is a good key for budgeting but can be harder than it sounds.

Her tips include shopping name brands only saying that they are “almost identical to the brand name.” She limits her Starbucks treats and doesn’t go out to the movie theatres.

Her two biggest tips can be applied to back-to-school and include making your own lunches (she must save so much making home lunches for her 8 children) and reusing and recycling what they already have.

To read all her tips — head over to her blog on Coupon Cabin.
